How to Increase your Confidence in your business, even when you’re not Confident at all!

 

I was talking to a client the other day who told me she just didn’t think she was confident enough to get out there and be visible. It’s always heartbreaking for me to hear another woman tell me that she lacks confidence in showing other people what she’s been doing super well for the past several years. This girl is BOMB too, she’s a total expert in social media management and worked at a Fortune 500 company doing the exact same thing she’s now doing on her own. Yet she doesn’t necessarily see things that way.

 

I remember when I didn’t see things that way, either. I was a new coach wanting to really make myself known in the online world. But I didn’t feel confident enough to even make my own Facebook page. Yep, my page, which has well over 1,000 likes today may have never been published if I kept on believing that I wasn’t confident enough to do it. 

There were 6 words that really helped me put my page out there for the world to see and these are the exact same words I told to my amazingly talented client that will help you increase your confidence in business ASAP.

 

Fake it ‘till you make it, honey.

 

I don’t believe that confidence is something you are born with. Instead, I wholeheartedly believe that confidence in business is like a muscle that you strengthen over time. You don’t NEED to be super confident to post your first photo in a Facebook group, or show up LIVE on your page. Check out how I dealt with my own fear of getting visible here. But you do need to do it if you want to grow, scale and sign up more clients. Increasing your confidence in your business is NOT a prerequisite for business success. However, taking action regardless of how confident you feel will make your business.
