Yaasss! You’ve made it this far in your business to know that getting on the phone with people and building relationships is where it’s at. The biggest thing here is to congratulate yourself for being able to create a business where people know like and trust you enough to even get on the phone.

Money objections happen on sales calls for a few reasons

  • Your potential client is excited about the investment but scared at the same time
  • Your potential client might not have this money in their bank account
  • Your potential client might not believe in either you or themselves to create the outcomes you suggest (this is usually more about themselves than about you)
  • Your potential client just isn’t ready to see the value of that type of investment

This is where you need to put your thinking cap on and ask them exactly why they feel it’s an issue for them. A great first question to ask is if money wasn’t an issue, would you still want to do this…this primes your client to really think about how that fear is holding them back. Another great question to ask is if they believe that whatever you’re proposing is possible for them— this is an even better question because it puts them on the spot to think about how much they believe in themselves— you wouldn’t want to put in the work with someone who doesn’t believe they can get the results, that’s not a good client for you and it could make them resentful in the future. If they’ve already given you good answers to those questions which makes you think they ARE ready, hold their hand through a series of ways that you can both make those payments possible for them.

Remember that handling money objections is never about closing every single person who comes on the phone with you. It’s about finding out if they really want what you’re offering or if they’re not ready to do it just yet.
